Post-cancer fatigue is not an unknown phenomenon any more. Doctors warn their patients that they can become tired from the chemotherapy, the radiation therapy or the operation.
There is a cure for tiredness after cancer based on cognitive behavioural therapy. People do have ideas about their tiredness and the therapy tries to influence the thinking and behaviour of the fatigued ex-cancer patients, so the tiredness becomes less or disappears.
There is also an internet therapy based on mindfulness training. In Holland this therapy helped most participants and one-third of them were no longer tired.
